Unison Networks Limited, trading as Unison, owns designs, manages and operates the electricity network that serves the Hawke’s Bay, Taupo and Rotorua regions.
Unison Networks is wholly owned by the Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust supplying over 110,000 connected customers with approximately 1,678 GWh of electricity per annum, making it one of the larger electricity distribution businesses in New Zealand.
Spanning over 9,000 kilometres, Unison’s network distributes electricity across an area of over 12,000 square kilometres, while its fibre network continues to grow, with over 700 kilometres of fibre optic cable now laid across the key business areas of Napier, Hastings, Havelock North, Rotorua and Taupo.
In addition to servicing Hawke’s Bay, Taupo and Rotorua, Unison also provides network and financial services under a management contract to the Central Hawke’s Bay Consumers’ Power Trust, owner of the Central Hawke’s Bay electricity distribution network, Centralines.
