A new chapter in excellence has arrived. 

Energy Networks Australia is excited to introduce the 2026 ENA Excellence in Energy Awards. A fresh new chapter for our awards program, recognising the people, projects and ideas shaping the future of Australia’s energy sector. 

Formerly the Energy Networks Annual Awards + Dinner, the awards have been refreshed with a new name, new categories and a renewed focus on celebrating the exceptional work happening across our industry. 

Introducing our new categories 

This year, we’re proud to introduce three new categories designed to recognise the breadth of excellence across the energy sector: 

Project / Team Awards 

• Excellence in Network Innovation 
• Excellence in Consumer Engagement or Communications 
• Outstanding People and Culture Initiative – new for 2026 
• Excellence in Network Operations – new for 2026 and already awarded 

Individual Awards 

• Female Trailblazer of the Year 
• Outstanding Individual Contribution 
• The One to Watch – new for 2026 

Whether it’s an innovative project transforming the way networks operate, a team delivering meaningful outcomes for consumers, an initiative creating a stronger workplace, or an individual making an outstanding contribution – the Excellence in Energy Awards are about recognising the people and ideas making a real difference.

Key dates 

The celebration will culminate in an unforgettable evening at the Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney on Thursday 3 December 2026, where we’ll come together to celebrate this year’s finalists and reveal the winners.

• 7 October – Entries Close 
• 11 November – Finalists announced 
• 3 December – Excellence in Energy Awards ceremony and winners announced
