ENA Regulation Seminar 2026: Thank you
ENA would like to thank everyone who contributed to our 2026 Regulation Seminar: Rewiring Regulation for change.
More than 230 attendees were present at the State Library in Brisbane, making it our most attended Regulation Seminar to date.
The event was overseen by our MC Michael Dart and speakers included:
- John Reynolds – President, California Public Utilities Commission
- Clare Savage – Chair, Australian Energy Regulator
- Sally McMahon – Commissioner, Australian Energy Market Commission
- Tim Nelson – Snowy Hydro; and
- Dani Alexander – CEO, UNSW Energy Institute.
The quality of discussion, collaboration and expertise on display reaffirmed the critical role our industry is playing in delivering a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy future.

Clare Savage.
The discussions made clear the need for collaboration across the industry while upholding values of fairness for every person to reap the benefits of this transition.
The keynote address from John Reynolds, highlighted the similarities between Australia and California, particularly the importance of resilience investment for the long-term benefit of a stable, reliable and lower cost energy grid.

John Reynolds.
All speakers brought a different perspective on the same challenge: how we adapt regulatory settings to keep pace with a grid that is transforming faster than at any point in our history.
They also provided great insight into what the future regulatory framework to support all of these changes can look like, so that it encourages progress without slowing it down. All the while keeping customers front of mind.

Sally McMahon.
Thank you to our Principal Partner, CutlerMerz, for their continued support of ENA and the broader networks sector.
We look forward to our next Regulation Seminar in 2027 and hope you will all join us again.
